There is a difference between the emotions humans get from material things such as clothing, vehicles, and products and emotions experienced by sentimental things such as friendships, relationships, and basic human interaction.  In the modern world emotions have become so construed by the media that a lot of the population doesnt know what self gratification is, or how to achieve it.  The feelings that one gets from buying a new product will never measure up to the emotions one gets from sentimental life experiences such as love, or friendship, or giving without expecting anything in return.  It was written in a song that “you cant buy love, and you cant sell feelings”. No product will ever comfort someone the way that joy can.
